Camping Trip and the Rain !

Well we took Isabella on her first camping trip. I was a little worried that it would mess with her schedule. (she is sleeping from8:30pm to about 5:00am) However to our great surprise she slept through the night while we were camping also. We went up with the Brewers and had a blast! We convinced Mom to come up and join us also. The weather was beautiful and we just relaxed all Friday and Saturday. However Saturday night it started to rain. It rained all night and when we woke in the morning it looked like we were sleeping on a water bed. So we had to clean the tent out and hang all our stuff up under the huge canopy where it dried out on Sunday. So we spent most of Sunday reading articles from the Ensign and the Relief Society manual because things were too wet to go to church. I must say it was much more interesting than regular Sunday School. hehe The rain cleared up Sunday night and we were able to have Dutch Oven hobo dinners and peach cobbler. Sunday night we all slept in the Brewer's 5th Wheel and were dry and warm. Over all it was a great time and Isabella loved it! Hope you all had a great Labor Day weekend!

Everyday life

Ok I know we have been really bad about posting. Life has settled in to a nice routine. Stan has school and Isabella and I find are still working on getting her schedule just right. ( I know this will be a constant project) I have been trying to exercise each day and I find that I am much better at it when I have a buddy to go with me. Thanks Brittany you are a lifesaver! :) So there is a 2 second update.

Shots

So little Isabella got her first shots yesterday. She did so well!! She only cried when they stuck the needles in and then she stopped crying. I went to the store and got some Tylenol for her just to make sure she wasn't in pain as the day went on. Later on in the day however th Tylenol wore off and that poor girl screamed for almost an hour till the medicine kicked in. It was so sad to hear, but I am proud to say that I didn't cry! I try to tell myself that when she is really upset or just crying like babies do, I can't cry. My theroy is if I am calm it will help her calm down faster. Who knows, and I am sure it won't work every time. hehe

Swimming!!

Summer is my favorite time of the year. You may be shocked becaused living in the convection oven that is Arizona gets brutally HOT, however that means that you can swim every day! It has finally been six weeks and the doctor gave me the ok to go swimming. So ofcourse the first chance I get we have a swim party. We got a bunch of friends together for a BBQ & swimming. This was Isabella's first time going in the pool. Don't worry she didn't get any in her ears or mouth and we put sunscreen on. Here are a couple of pictures of today's adventure.


Daddy is so good with her in the water. I got to just swim around and relax while Stan held her most of the time.

Babies Cry

Ok I am trying to get Isabella on a schedule to where she eats, plays for a while then goes to sleep when I put her in her bed. It works pretty well during the day, but tonight is the first night that I have just let her cry in her crib to go to sleep. It's so hard to hear her little cry, but hopefully she will learn to put herself to sleep and in the long run life will be easier. I don't know, I wish there was a manual that told how long to let them cry... I am sure this is just one of many things I wish there was a manual for.

Family Reunions

For the 4th of July weekend we went up North to attend the Brewer Family Reunion. The weather was soooooo nice. We had some thunder storms and light rain, but they days were just beautiful. Why can't all of Arizona be like Northern AZ. There were lots of girl cousins up there so of course we didn't have to hold Isabella at all. At one point while we were eating lunch we had a group of 6 cousins just standing around our table. I asked if they wanted to hold her and they swooped in like vultures and had her the rest of the after noon. She sure got spoiled.
