Bread, Bread Bread!!

Stan's aunt Cathy make the yummiest whole wheat rolls, bread, you name it and she is good at making it.  I asked her how she does and and says the easiest way is using her bread maching.  She said she could teach me but it would be easier if I had one, well we didn't have money to buy a bread machine so I didn't think about it much for a while.  Then I got a wheat grinder for Christmas from my mother in law (thank you!!)  It made us so excited because now we can acutually use some of the wheat that we have.  So Stan and I decided to start looking on Craigs list for one.  However that same night Cathy called and asked if I still wanted a Bread Machine.  It was perfect timing!!  Someone had given her one, but since she already had one she gave it to me.  YEAH!!  I am so excited to use it.  Thanks so much Mom and aunt Cathy!!

I will update you on how my bread turns out.

Its a New Year

So it's a new year and we all know what that means!  New Year goals.  Stanley and I have decided to exercise together each weekday.  I love it because I always try to get him to go with me, but he is usually so busy, but he decided it would be good to work on getting some pounds off too.  So far we have only missed one day, ok I know its only the 12th but you've gotta be excited about the little things.  It's also a great time to just talk and be together without text books in the way.   :)

Here are just a few of our family goals..
  • FHE each week
  • Date without Isabella once a month
  • Temple once a month
  • Buy or Rent a house (just get outta an upstairs apartment!)

Snow

We spent New Years Eve at Sarah and Jonathan Nolan's in Thatcher. On New Years Day we went up to Graham Mountain and played in the snow. It was fun to get all dress in our warm clothes and play in the snow. This was Isabella's first time in the snow. She liked it and wanted to be everywhere. Luckily I was able to keep her dry.

This was just a cute picture of Isabella and I. She is starting to smile for the camera. Its so fun! By the way for everyone who has been asking I am do in August.

Christmas in Las Vegas

We went to visit Beth and George in Las Vegas for Christmas. It was a blast. Dan drove with us, thank goodness because it was a long drive. Our little Honda was so packed we didn't even have room to stretch out. On Christmas eve we watched the traditional move It's a Wonderful Life, while we were trying to convince Mom and Dad to let us open at least one gift. They finally broke down and let us open a gift. Isabella got to open the first one. Beth got her the cutest rocking pony so that she could start loving horses at a young age just like Stan. Isabella loves it!!

After we all opened a gift we had Beth & George open a litte stocking that we had gotten for them.  Inside was a poem that Stan wrote.
A special gift is on its way
But there is a nine month delay
Maybe a girl, maybe a boy
A little one to bring you joy
They were so shocked and excited!  Here is a picture of our family stockings.

Christmas day we were all spoiled.  Isabella was so cute opening all her gifts.  We had so much fun.  It really made us miss living close to Beth and George.  Thanks so much for a wonderful Christmas!  Here are a few more pictures.

Christmas day on her favorite gift.

Christmas Devotional

This was the first time in a long time that I was able to see the First Presidency's Christmas devotional. It was so nice to listen to their stories and feel of their love for the Savior. What a great way to begin the Christmas season!

Thanksgiving

I thought I would give a little update on our Thanksgiving week.

First of all it was so GREAT to have Stanley home for the week. He didn't study at all. He probably should have, but he knew I was needing some attention, so he just spent the whole week doing stuff with Isabella and I. We deep cleaned our house, went on a date, watched a move , went shopping (on Black Friday- Stan really loves me )and just spent time together! THANK YOU STAN!

We had Thanksgiving dinner at my Aunt's house. YUMMY! Then we rode quads and Derric's tandem bike. It was a blast. In this picture Stan decided to let me do all the work. Notice his legs aren't even on the pedals. So when we wore ourselves out doing that we went inside and played Crazy 6. Its like playing speed with lots of people. It truly is crazy! Isabella did so good the whole day, so when we got home she crashed and we just had the evening to ourselves. It was so nice to just relax and watch a movie together. On Friday we got most of shopping done. yeah! It was fun to go to the mall together. Then on Sat. Stan's parents came and stayed with us till Monday. We went and saw the Temple Lights and enjoyed the wonderful weather. It was so fun to have them here! By Sunday night I was sad because Stan had to go to school again. :( It really makes me look forward to Christmas break!
