Family Reunions

For the 4th of July weekend we went up North to attend the Brewer Family Reunion. The weather was soooooo nice. We had some thunder storms and light rain, but they days were just beautiful. Why can't all of Arizona be like Northern AZ. There were lots of girl cousins up there so of course we didn't have to hold Isabella at all. At one point while we were eating lunch we had a group of 6 cousins just standing around our table. I asked if they wanted to hold her and they swooped in like vultures and had her the rest of the after noon. She sure got spoiled.

Baby Bella's Blessing!

We will be blessing Baby Isabella next week (July 6'th) at 9:00. The church is in Tempe just North of Guadalupe on Lakeshore. It is between McClintock and Rural, just turn North at the light and you will see the church. We hope to see as many of you there as can make it.

Baby Bella

Friday night we welcomed into the world the most beautiful little girl ever! Isabella Louise Brewer! (Both of Stan's grandma's middle names were Louise). She was born at 5:46 pm and weighed 6 pounds 15 ounces and was 19 inches long.

On Thursday Samira went in for her regular checkup and found out the the baby was breached. That means a c-section. The doctor said we could schedule it for the next Monday or Tuesday, but Samira wanted to have the baby on the weekend so that Stan's parents could come down. The doctor was going out of town, but was very nice and offered to do the c section the next day right after work. So we went in to have the baby Friday night.

The baby is doing great and is very health. Samira is recovering very quickly. We came home Monday afternoon and are super excited to have a family. Thank you everyone who has stopped by to see her, given us gifts, or brought by meals at the hospital or at our house!

All dressed up for surgery

Some free time.

No I haven't had the baby yet but I finally quit work. It has been so nice to be able to get things done around the house and actually run my errands during the day. I am most excited about going to the pool and just relaxing while soaking up some sun. I'm off to the pool!

Stealing Pictures

This is Stan. I just stole this picture from my sisters website. I hope she doesn't mind, but she still hasn't given us a copy!!! So I consider it to be something along the lines of . . . taking what is our anyway! Isn't my sister a great photographer. You can check out her amazing work at photographybyjo.com! (There now I gave her a plug too and so it is now free adverstising). Anyway, this is a picture from when I asked Samira to marry me! It was great fun. I stole her from work on our year and a half anniversary. She was surprised when I kept driving farther and farther away from work. She was afraid she wouldn't get back in time. Little did she know, she wasn't going back! We changed at a gas station on the way out of town and I took her up to the mountains to a lookout tower we liked to visit. I asked her on top of the tower. Then we came down and my sister and her sister had set up a wonderful lunch for us to eat. They were life savers and even found this beautiful lake to eat by. The place I had originally planned on got rained out. The man that lived across the street was a DJ and serenaded us by pulling out his speakers and turning them on loud enough to hear. Word even got around in the small town and the local newspaper came out to take our picture. Needless to say I swept Samira off her feet and somehow convinced her to marry me!

Stan just found the link to a newspaper article the Payson Roundup wrote about the momentous occasion! http://www.paysonroundup.com/section/localnews/story/24715

Exciting Changes

Ok Rushelle... I don't want to hear you complain for another 2 months. Hehe jk. Well everyone there has been lots of exciting changes in our lives since I last updated this. First off Stanley got accepted in to Medical School at A.T. Still here in Arizona. He will begin the long road of medical school at the end of July! The way that this school works is the first year is here in Mesa and then next 3 years we will be in Portland Oregon!!
Secondly we moved from Tempe to Gilbert. We are now only about 2 miles from Stanley's new school. It will be nice not to have to commute very far. That is a huge change for us because Stan drives all over for work right now and I drive to Phoenix. We are looking forward to being so close to everything.
We are getting very excited for the baby, she will be here in about 6 weeks (June 15th) We are starting to get her room put together, and hopefully it will be ready by the time she gets here.
